Elementals
Elementals are spiritual or metaphysical beings believed to embody and govern the fundamental elements of nature: Earth, Water, Fire, and Air (Wind). They appear in various esoteric, occult, and mythological systems, especially in Western alchemy and nature-based spirituality.
Overview
[edit | edit source]Elementals are often described as intelligent forces or spirits that inhabit and regulate natural elements. Unlike gods or angels, they are typically seen as tied directly to physical reality and the energetic structure of nature.
The concept was systematized in Renaissance occultism, particularly in alchemical and Hermetic traditions.
